National ad campaigns: Alcatel-Lucent & Nokia!

Don't get scared, we haven't gone all corporate yet. But..we have indeed been featured in the new campaign of Alcatel-Lucent technologies 'Always On'! This is great exposure for us and it reminded us how important it is to keep on going, especially during hard times. The national campaign featuring Emunity Records is already out on paper, online and on TV. 'Business Week', 'Fortune', 'Esquire', CBS Europe, CNN and of course the Alcatel-Lucent website.

Emunity Records' honcho Matias Iribarne aka Urko (pictured above) did an amazing job explaining what Emunity is all about, to quote the man himself:
"Discovering and meeting new interesting sounds and people doesn't depend only on luck. You need to explore, be open, you need to be on, ALWAYS ON." How's that for a catch line?

A track by Lazybatusu is featured in the new NOKIA campaign, in collaboration with Spike Lee, check it out! You can use 4MuLA & Corrado's song 'Ability', as the soundtrack for your movie submission that will be watched and selected by Spike Lee.

We are still listening to the hundreds of submissions for 'PAXPORT VOL.2', and a great thanks goes to everybody who sent us music and is still sending... Lazybatusu New Release: 'OTHERVIEW' + Paxport Featured on 'SUONO'!

Hello everybody,

after a two-years hiatus, Lazybatusu has finally released 'Otherview', the long-awaited new full length. This is a great event for us and without getting too emotional, here are the links to hear what we're talking about:

'Otherview' was mixed by sound wizard Brad Leigh who really did a fantastic job. Thanks Brad! And it goes without saying, thanks to all the fans around the world who really supported us through all these years.

The album produced by 4MuLA and DJ Corrado Bay contains 13 brand new songs and features our talented friends Natalie Williams and Karen Jones on vocals, Urko on didjeridoo, Nils Westdal on bass, Victor Espinola on electric harp, Alejandro Santos on flute, Drumfire on percussion and many more wonderful musicians.


A forthcoming remix album for 'Otherview' is already in the making with lots of talented guests and we'll keep you, of course, updated.

Other great news: the popular Italian music magazine 'SUONO' has featured our compilation 'PAXPORT' on their shiny pages along with an in-depth interview to Simone '4MuLA' Giuliani who revealed the concept behind the album and shared some thoughts on musical 'maps'...

Lazybatusu Cut On Acid Jazz Records + Petrol Records/EMI compilation

Hello everybody,
it's been a while: hope you're all in good shape and spirit.
A little bit of fresh news from our side: a new remix by Lazybatusu just came out on the legendary British label Acid Jazz Records, it goes without saying that is printed in that good old material we all love, it's black, it's shiny, it's wax! 12 inches of love (ok, that sounds like a bad porn flick's title, but you all know what we mean).

This time Corrado & 4MuLA remixed Smoove. We've never met Smoove but were blown away by his remake of 'The Revolution Will Be Televised' a few years back, so we got in touch, linked up and here comes "AS IF", his new single. The release comes with another latin mix by Smoove himself and a great nu-jazz mix of 'Rejoice In Righteousness' featuring The Bukky Leo Quintet. A nice breeze of fresh air, English style. Lazybatusu is featured on 'The Departure Lounge Chill', a new compilation released by Petrol Records, a new label hailing from Sidney, Australia. Petrol Records is distributed by EMI, which makes us all very happy and confident that you'll be able to find this downtempo compilation containing our music pretty much...everywhere. Next to Lazybatusu you'll find among others: Madredeus, Max Sedgley and The Pinkertones.



4MuLA is trying to install a double processor in his cerebral cortex and who knows, he might even succeed at some point. He couldn't stay put in the wee hours and collaborated with Terron Darby playing keys on his latest remix of Rob Slac Feat. Fourfeet called 'It's Official', deep nice jazzy beats! Bravo, Terron. Terron Darby is an upcoming Brooklyn-based producer who's also a slick sound engineer: he already mixed Natalie Williams'remix "This Girl" for Lazybatusu and is now working on his beats.

The Way We Like It

Hi everybody, some summer news from our headquarters: the new remix by Lazybatusu for Natalie Williams is out on Eastside Records in the UK. You can hear a preview here and purchase it here

'That's The Way We Like It' is a great tune taken from Natalie's forthcoming album 'Secret Garden' written and produced with Mercury Music Prize nominated producer, wizard beatmaker Drew Horley whose credits include TY- Upwards, Estelle, Jay Sean and Roots Manuva. Welcoming some of the best talents the UK scene has to offer, That's The Way We Like It features Eska on backing vocals and universally acclaimed rapper TY.



The remix is currently acquiring solid support from Trevor Nelson (Radio 1), Gilles Peterson (Radio 1), Simon Skoolboy Phillips (Capital FM & Beneath the Surface), Wayne C Mc Donald (Galaxy) and Excaliber (BBC Radio 6 music) who describes the track as incredible - slick production & wicked vocals!.

Natalie's full lenght album 'Secret Garden' will be released on September 12, 2006.
